Understanding My Feminine Self is an intimate monologue that traces Fletcher’s progression into womanhood. Using herself as subject — alongside her mother, sisters and intimate partners — she explores the psychological intricacies of her identity. Through documentation and reenactments, she traces her experiences to understand her relationship to sex, gender, and performance. Influenced by Jo Ann Callis’s Other Rooms and , this series, this series reveals her vulnerabilities as a cisgender heterosexual woman.
